This year has brought many exciting changes for Joey T Photography. Thanks to all our lovely couples we’ve experienced tremendous growth, and for that, I want to say thank you. I’m thrilled to announce that Christa Elyce has now joined the Joey T Photography team as our Associate Photographer!

Christa Elyce has been photographing weddings since 2005. Her work has been featured in many popular blogs and publications, such as The Knot, Southern Weddings Magazine, and even internationally in Ditt Bryllup (Norway’s top wedding magazine). Christa’s soft romantic style and attention to detail complements my modern, artistic storytelling. How is this awesome for our couples? It simply means more beautiful imagery, better service, and a whole lot of FUN!

Having two experienced professional photographers under one studio means more availability for our engaged couples looking for a Houston wedding photographer or even the option to have us both cover your wedding day. Our professionalism and fun-loving personalities carry into our work, putting our you at ease during engagement sessions and wedding days. We absolutely love what we do, and you and your guests can feel that in the way we work throughout the day. Without you even noticing we were there, we are able to capture those sweet tender moments from a distance, but we may even bust a little move on the dance floor with camera in hand just to get those fabulous action shots of you having the time of your life.

We’re blessed to be able to do what we love, and also honored and grateful that you’ve trusted us to photograph and tell the story of the first day as husband and wife.

The moment I photographed my first bride and groom, I fell in love with wedding photography for life! Could it have been the gorgeous dress fit for a princess, the way the groom looks at his bride when he first sees her on their wedding day, or maybe even the fabulous reception where everyone dances the night away – all of it and the moments in between are where I fell head over heels for weddings!

I’m a mother to 3 little rascals and have a loving husband who means the world to me. There’s no way I could ever resist “cutting a rug” on the dance floor – or just even in our spur of the moment kitchen dance parties (which explains some burnt dinners). I enjoy painting and arts of all mediums. I’m huge into personal fitness and eating yummy veggies and making tasty smoothies! Shamelessly, I’m an owner to more high heels than I can count on both hands. I even broke down and got the high tops with a wedge heel. I’m a complete city girl at heart, but making the most of living in the “country” in Humble, Texas, in “our little cottage” with two chickens, a garden, and a little kitten.

My family is the joy and strength of everything I do. I’ve always called marriage an “upgrade on life” and that is putting it lightly. It’s been great in the good times and absolutely indispensable in the tough times.

What else do I love? I love basketball, golf, FOOD (both eating and cooking it), people (and yes, that includes you ), and music. As a matter of fact, my wife and I are the worship directors at our church—so much fun and such a huge blessing. We LOVE watching TV-our little vice. What was the world like before DVR? In our little TV dates we have to catch up on NCIS, Burn Notice, White Collar, Psych and The Voice–just to name a few. My wife won’t watch Supernatural but I love it.

Every couple I meet has such a unique story, one that I love to tell through beautiful photographs. Photography is my skill and people are my passion. I can’t ask for anything more than to be able to put those two things together so that you can look back at those moments and laugh again, cry again, and fall in love all over again.
